Shauwn Mkhize’s husband, currently ex-husband, is Sibusiso Mpisane who is better known as Sbu Mpisane.




The two met in the early 1990s at a party and started dating shortly after. At the time when they met, Sbu was a metro police officer in Durban but he quit to join Shauwn’s construction company.












Sbu and Shauwn got married sometime in 1991 and went on to build a family together, and a multi-million empire. In 2011, they celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary, unfortunately, they didn’t stick around to celebrate their 20th.

In 2018, Shauwn Mkhize and Sbu Mpisane dominated headlines after it was reported that the two were going through a divorce following Sbu Mpisane’s allegedly many cases of infidelity.












The couple who had been regarded as one of the most powerful celebrity couples in Mzansi when they were together had one of the most publicized divorces in South Africa and it was also a very messy divorce.












The divorce hit hard at Shauwn Mkhize who had opted for the community of property marriage rather than keeping her finances separated and independent from her husband.




















Sbu Mpisane enlisted the services of Mxolisi Nxasana as his divorce attorney and reportedly demanded R200,000 monthly maintenance from Shauwn on top of the R559, 000 monthly salary he was already earning. He also took over Royal Eagles FC which the couple had jointly bought in 2014.




You know that a divorce is messy when the children get involved. The couple’s son Andile Mpisane took to Instagram where he wrote a long post accusing his father, whom he referred to as “his mother’s husband” in the post, of being selfish, a bad father, and for cheating on his mother amongst other things.

Shauwn Mkhize and Sbu Mpisane were blessed with one child together during their marriage- a son called Andile Mpisane who was born in 2001.




















Andile is currently the youngest chairman of a football club in South Africa, he chairs the Royal AM football club. He is also a father of three beautiful girls, two with Durban-based DJ, Sithole Shozi , and his third daughter with his wife- Tamia Louw




Shauwn and Sbu also have a daughter called Sbahle Mpisane who was born from Sbu Mpisane’s previous relationship with another woman. Even though she is not her biological daughter, Shauwn Mkhize and Sbahle Mpisane have one of the greatest mother-daughter relationships and they often gush over each other on social media.
