Fall (2022) Review



 Nintendo’s famous mascot prepares for an animated adventure as Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment present the official trailer The Super Mario Bros. Movie. View trailer below.


Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (collaborators on Teen Titans Go!, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Illuminations’s Minions: The Rise of Gru), the film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.


Oh wow…. I was wondering when a new trailer for this movie was going to be released, but not this earlier so shortly after the release of the teaser trailer. That being said, I do welcome this new preview of the upcoming animated film. This new trailer showcases plenty of new footage and shows of some of the other iconic Nintendo / Mario characters, including Princess Peach and Donkey Kong as well as more of Toad and Luigi. Plus, the scene with the Mario Kart….amazing! I am very curious to see how this movie will play out and how it will be received from moviegoers everywhere. All in all, I can’t wait to see this movie and how it will ultimately shape up to be. Definitely looking forwarding to see it!


The Super Mario Bros. Movie arrives in theaters on April 7th, 2022

Disenchanted (2022) Review

 DON’T LOOK DOWN! (AND DON’T WATCH THIS MOVIE) Survival movies have been around for quite some time and have had mixed results with viewers. Tales of death-defying moments of surviving the unbridled wrath of natural elements, surreal circumstances, and unlucky situations have always been fixed point of fascination with storytelling, leading to one suspense after another and finding thrills within those “fight for flight” moments. Yet, sometimes these films struggle to find a proper balance within its own context, with an unbalanced presentation of trying to focus more on the actual survival sequences (scares, suspense, and thrills) and not much on its characters and story progression.
